Thank you so much! I've had my Acer for 2 years, so it is 1 year out of warranty. Given I only paid AUD$500, I was going to get rid of it, but you have saved it!

Thanks again,

Hey Leo,

I, too, read and tried the whole nine. But of all my attempts everything happens the way it's suppose to EXCEPT my USB indicator light was never led. Power indicator still flashes indefinitely but i do not think my USB was ever read. Any suggestions???

THanks!

Hi Mate,

As the tutorials says if this solutions doesn't work after 3-4 times the problem could be something else and you have to contact the Acer support..
Let me know..

Pat, is it possible that your mach reverted to the default "power management" scheme and it's just going into sleep mode?

Try first moving the mouse; then if that doesn't bring it back, try hitting "Enter" and wait a moment to see if it comes back. If not, then try hitting the (green lit) "Pwr" button just for a second, wait a mo, and see if that "brings it back".

Hello,

I'm after a bit of advice please, I have an acer ao150 zg5 and after doing a RAM upgrade with a known good RAM stick the aspire screen turns white at power on, but then stays dark.It does boot to the os as witnessed via an external monitor.I removed the RAM and the laptop acted the same. I am going to try the bios update, but wondered if you had any ideas as to whether it is something else.

Thanks in advance,
