Last night I went to see the film documentary about the GREAT artist knowed as banksy.
Just for those (very few) that never hear about Banksy:
“Banksy is a pseudonymous[2][3][4] British graffiti artist. He is believed to be a native of Yate, South Gloucestershire, near Bristol[2] and to have been born in 1974,[5]but his identity is unknown”

The movie is a really interesting, artistic (street artistic to be more specific) and funny.
First of all, this movie is not showing the real face and the voice because he is always filmed with the face obscured or blurred and the voice is doubled, he still keeping his anonymity.
The documentary that suppose to talk about the life of Banksy, started with the artist saying that when he met the guy that wanted to do the documentary of his life he thought that the life of that guy was way much interesting than his own story so they decide change and make a move that talks about the life of the guy that wanted to make the documentary..
Simply genius!
I don’t want tell all about the movie especially if you haven’t seen the movie yet and if you have you don’t need it again..
Anyway the guys ends up to meet Banksy that let his films his work.
After a while they became quite close and in the end Banksy suggested to the french guy (the guy who wanted to create the documentary) to start to create some street art.
The guy so started to create some street art. He was doing some good stuff.
He choose to be called as: “Mr Brainwash” arguing that the artists always brainwash people.
In the end “Mr Brainwash” organized a show with his work and sold pretty much everything and he became super rich..
When the movie finished I realized that I never hear about this Mr Brainwash, so I’ve done some research.
On the net I founded some of his works, like the Michael Jackson with the Marilyn Monroe hair:

My point in the end is Mr Brainwash and Banksy are the same person, but not in the meaning that the french guy is Banksy in the meaning that Banksy is behind that character.
I believe he wanted to explain that art is not a matter of money, which people alway think like that.
An expensive paint in not always a good paint!

to show that the important thing is not the name.. but the product that he sells.. he can put Mr.brainwash – Mr. Dick or what ever.. that finally.. everyone get actracted by this mistery or.. new idea.. concept or whatever that.. comes to say ” hey.. this is amazing”! .. when is the same thing that bansky made years a go –
the only fact is that Bansky made it in a very Maniacal way, and this.. Mr. brainwash.. made it in a commercial way.. is simply another name on the list of bansky.

Banksy is a comercial artist and project, such as Koons or Damien Hirst. The documentary (absolutelly fake)is very obvious.
I think that Banksy wanted to demonstrate to the world that everybody can make modern art and that the success is only a consequence of advertising.
If an object is wanted from only one person, nobody talks of it, it is not important, has no value, is not considered art.
If an object is wanted from everybody, everybody talks of it, it has to be considered important, has a value because probably his price will go up, and probably, even if it is too strange or too common, it will be considered art.
What is the original work of Mr Brainwash?
I saw a lot of images of famous people randomly coloured…
I consider art another thing, in a painting i must see a concept that the artist wants to communicate to the world, an idea that makes me see the genius.
When Andy Warhol first made Campbell Tomato paintings there was an original idea, but today it doesn’t mean that painting common products makes a painting as great as the Warhol ones.
What do i have to think of all that people that went to MBW art show? All that people that wanted to buy his paintings?
For my point of view they could be all payed to stay there…isn’t a show? Wasn’t it a SHOW?
Well it has been a show !!!

The other question is: is Mr.Brainwash Banksy hidden?
Maybe, but not in all MBW paintings.
I see Banksy hand in some of the paintings but not in all, that supports my first impression of the “Operation MBW” and the movie.
The hidden, personal problem of Banksy is : Did i became famous because i have talent? Or i became famous for other reasons?
The way to have an answer is to create an “another Banksy” and mix his works with other made by an average person (MBW) and see what happens.
The problem (for Banksy) is that this operation didn’t give him the answer because everybody wants everything (Banksy/MBW works and MBW works) and proves that people doesn’t understand nothing of art, simply buy what can have a greater value tomorrow: is only a question of money, and it’s very sad…

banksy is the french dude for sure…..just look at the basic idea of what good art comes out of england and what comes out of france. I can see as a graph writer he is for sure banksy and not an actor because the simple defence for the cus of his and so very matter affact that space invador is not vandalising…only fools i know so pationite about how graph is not vandalism is real taggers not some dude owning some thrift store but a dude that owns a thrift store and taggs……..also simple that in LA or la la land you can finance trips to your home contenant and other spots ,,,rip art off and put in in graph spots cus your making a killing of the fools in la purchasing shit at his shop cus fools are very into money and bs in LA………wake up fools and look at art as art and dont look at warhalll or who ever as great…we are all great all good..only few of us can put the time and energy into the art. I´ve just seen the film “Exit Through the Gift Shop”, I found your point of view really interesting: I´ve some points to add
1. In the film the organizer says, that He dind´t knows where MBW had all that amount of paint and where they came from.
2. Furthemore, the exhibition made money; who didn´t need money?
He looks like the Mr Brainwash… Ie Robin Gunningham does…. and as we know he wears glasses.. I’d say thats him…. game over fraudster…
